Health and Social Care Worker of the Week

At Jayco we are lucky to have such highly skilled and dedicated workers in all our sectors. This year we are bringing back worker of the week to reward them for all their hard work, the winner will receive a £50 Amazon gift voucher. As always, this award was extremely hard to give and it could have gone to a number of our workers. However, only one person can win, and we are pleased to announce that Alex Jarrett is this week’s winner.

Alex has worked in a service which we converted this week and he impressed the service manager so much in his first two hours that he has been booked in for the next three weeks. He has shown reliability and flexibility and has worked around the client’s rota in order to offer his support and continuity whilst also working additional hours for other services with the client. Alex has received very positive feedback during his time working for Jayco from multiple clients.

What does a Support Worker do?

A support worker supports the most vulnerable people in our society to live the most independent and fulfilling life possible. They provide individual care as required by each person you care for in order to meet and fulfil their personal needs whilst ensuring that each person’s dignity and individuality is upheld and their independence, choice and control is always promoted. They are responsible for supporting vulnerable adults with complex needs.

We are looking for Senior and non-senior Health Care Assistants, Child Residential Support Workers, Support Workers, Project Workers and Nurses all across the North-East and beyond.
