Transport and Logistics Worker of the Week

At Jayco we are lucky to have such highly skilled and dedicated workers in all our sectors. This year we are bringing back worker of the week to reward them for all their hard work, the winner will receive a £50 Amazon gift voucher. As always, this award was extremely hard to give and it could have gone to a number of our workers. However, only one person can win, and we are pleased to announce that Anthony Nelson is this week’s winner.

Anthony is a HGV Class 2 driver who works with a number of our clients across the North East. Anthony recently helped us out by picking up some last-minute shifts. To show our appreciation we are making him this year’s first transport and logistics worker of the week and awarding him with a £50 Amazon voucher.

What does a HGV Class 2 driver do?

They transport goods to and from customers’ premises and then into the haulage delivery network. This role requires the ability to work to deadlines and to manage on-road routes in order to achieve time-sensitive deliveries. They can transport a variety of loads such as HIAB, refrigerated units, curtain sliders and flatbeds.
