Worker of the Month - April 2021

At Jayco Recruitment, we are fortunate to have some of the most hard working, knowledgeable and experienced workers in all our sectors including the staff that work from our offices in both the North East and Yorkshire branches. To reward them for all their exceptional work we are splitting our worker of the month award into 3 different sections; health care, social care and office worker. To win this award you must go above the usual job responsibilities of your job role. The winner will be announced at the end of every month and each winner will receive a £50 Amazon voucher.

The health and social care winners are chosen by our consultants who each nominate someone who they believe they should win. After all the consultants have made their cases for their chosen candidates, they collectively decide as a team who is most deserving of these awards. The office award is chosen by our Director who has very generously said the office worker with the most worker of the month awards will receive an extra bonus at the end of the year.

Without further delay, we can reveal this month’s winners are Christine Young (Social Care), Maria Georgescu (Health Care) and Vicky Carrahar (Office).

Maria have been working with a previously lapsed client and due to her performance, they have now entrusted Jayco with more bookings in their service. She has gone above and beyond by helping with service users care and training plans, external professionals have also spoken to the home manager about how impressed they were with Maria.

Our finance manager Vicky Carrahar is the first office worker to win this award. Over the past month Vicky has been very busy in her usual role with the financial year coming to an end. Alongside her normal role, Vicky has also undertaken extra responsibilities as well by helping on board and train our new payroll administrator. Last weekend she also helped us set up our new branch in Halifax which included taking heavy boxes up many flights of stairs!

Our next winner is Support Worker Christine Young, she recently received glowing feedback from one of our longstanding clients in Consett. To add to this, the shift she received great feedback on was a last-minute change from Sunderland to Consett which is a great testament to Christine’s attitude and her work ethic.
